Farmers’ Markets

Puggs Meadow Flowers attends markets and festivals throughout the season, from April until October. We are regulars at Hampshire Farmers’ Market in Winchester, but also pop up in all sorts of places – see schedule below. Ranging from mixed posies to sit on a kitchen table to medium-sized and big bunches, we also sell perennial favourites such as sweet peas (come early, they sell out fast!), cornflowers, sunflowers, peonies plus whatever else we have in the meadow to cut and bring to market the next day. Sign up for our monthly newsletter for the latest news and market dates.

This has to be the biggest market in the south-west, with 700+ stalls on the first Sunday of the month from March-December. The market takes over the town for the day, with 10,000 visitors and strives to be ‘more than a market’, incorporating live music, DJs, street performance, workshops and children’s activities on market days. We won’t be selling but will be supporting Flowers From the Farm, the national body of which we are a member. It’s a co-operative of 500 like-minded small businesses, that aims to encourage more people to grow cut flowers for market in Britain – 90% of the flowers sold in Britain are imported: we aim to reduce travel miles by promoting locally-grown flowers and developing a network of British cut flower growers across the country. Come and see us on our stand and say hello.
